My Marie: (the couch potato song) I performed this song, in Toronto on City TV's Speakers Corner sometime ago. Just me and my upright bass. I guess they aired it so much I had people walk up to me on the street and say "Hey, your that guy on TV with the big bass." and I'd say, ......"Yea."

The Good Life: A one sided conversation, at three thirty in the morning with someone you loved. Dedicated to Richard Newell (aka. King Biscuit)
Walk On The Water: A view of what it's like to balance life, family and career, and not drop the ball.
Too Little, Too Late: Is a song about the things you never get around to doing, and when you do it's too late.
Fish In Bowl: My ecology song. Because I believe there is a balance.
Lost Smile: A classic tale of man meets woman, man falls in love with woman, man loose's woman, man spends the rest of his life drunk. .... O' you know him.
A Big, Big World: A little story on how I got here... see below.
A Big, Big World:You and I, sailed around the world, In a big balloon, with a couple of squirrels. And a guy named Phil, who you fell into, a steamy romance, what was I supposed to do.So I threw you out, and I ate the Squirrels, and I sailed away, It's a Big, World. So I sailed on down to the south of France.Where I met Giselle, who just loved to dance. The tango on that French TV, that I'd watch from my Balloon and go, we, we, we.O' my pretty Giselle. Would you tango away with me? She said ......"No Monsieur, I only tango on TV...... It's a Big, Big World. So I headed down Israel way, but they were bombing the beaches of Beirut So I be-bop to Bombay.Where I met Sha-cal Aqua-na-me who had a copy of the Karma SutraShe wanted to practice it with me. So we practiced all night and we practiced all dayThen one day she took her book and she went away. .. It's a Big, Big World. After that I headed home. I put the balloon in the garage now I live here all alone. With a dog and a cat and a couple of Squirrels, and I dream about my travels throughout the world. And from sea to shining sea, it's all so plain to me, most people do there traveling on TV.It A Big, Big World.© Ron MacDonald 1996 |
